HIGHLIGHTS:

Twin Poultry Barns

·Two 65’ × 300’ poultry barns that were designed and constructed in 2024, incorporating best practices developed through the construction of numerous poultry facilities and combining the most effective features.

·The barns are engineered to maintain bird comfort across all temperature conditions through a tunnel ventilation system that regulates airflow to match fluctuating temperatures, providing maximum ventilation during extreme heat.

·Upon entry, a shared cuddy connects the two barns and was designed with both functionality and craftsmanship in mind. The space is fully finished with barn board, creating a warm, rustic aesthetic within an otherwise industrial structure. The cuddy includes a wash area for the farmer, space for office equipment, access to the mechanical room, and serves as a secure connection between the barns with biosecurity and safety as key priorities.

·Each barn features a dedicated control room designed to minimize the risk of introducing or spreading viruses, bacteria, and pests, safeguarding both animal and human health. These rooms house personal protective equipment, flock records, and essential biosecurity tools.

·The exterior is finished with metal cladding complemented by timber accents and a metal roof. The structure utilizes 4/12 flat bottom chord trusses spaced 48” on centre, with 29-gauge roof steel for exterior cladding. The interior is fully finished with Trusscore to support durability and ease of cleaning.

·The site layout includes a driveway designed to promote safe and efficient traffic flow around the barns, along with large concrete pads to facilitate loading and cleanup.
