Renovation of bank barn for new Veterinary Clinic including:
New solid wood loft floor with dust control sealer.
New structural steel framing, interior partitions, floors, heating, air conditioning, ventilation system with negative pressure to control air born disease movement, high tech communication lines for diagnostic and x-ray equipment. Padded walls in surgery and recovery stalls.
Custom hoisting equipment to lift a horse under sedation. Building was completed to meet the rigid requirements for the Ontario Veterinary College and was approved under a Certificate of Registration of Research Facility under the Animal Research Act.
The renovations provided a state of the art operating room, two recovery stalls with full sliding front openings, three treatment stalls, diagnostic lab, and a custom inspection stall area.
The project also included the addition of a new structure with four isolation stalls, 80’x180’ indoor exercise arena, with drug dispensary, computer room, four professional offices, board room, and reception area.
Project included new infrastructure services for hydro, septic, and site excavation work. Custom doors, stalls, arena footing, operating room padded moveable partitions. Steel and board & batten clad exterior.
This is a highly specialized facility with the latest technology to provide the very latest in video X-ray and operating services within a well lit, air quality controlled, and safe environment. The project’s exterior was designed to blend into the farmstead setting to retain the agricultural nature in a rural setting.
